School Security by Won-Door
With school security becoming a growing concern nationally, Won-Door developed the FireGuard AFG security door. Won-Door’s accordion-style, steel doors are concealed in a small pocket, and with the push of a button, can lock down a school in seconds.
These steel doors can defuse an active shooter event by compartmentalizing the building, while allowing occupants to exit or shelter in place. In addition, this lockdown solution also serves as an approved barrier for fire emergencies by replacing traditional swing doors. Click here to view our school security video.

The tragedy suffered at Sandy Hook Elementary was one of the worst shooting incidents in US history. Twenty-Eight were killed while many others were injured, and countless were traumatized. Working in conjunction with mental health professionals and other administrators, the building was re-designed with updates involving Won-Door for both fire and security needs.
Using Won-Door helped to minimize the visual impact of the added security and at the same time created a safe, open environment that is conducive to learning, while providing the much-needed fire and security protection. This video shows how this school and many others have worked in conjunction with Won-Door to solve complex fire and security needs.
